I knew the day would come when Maddux would start picking up awful little creatures and proudly bring them to show me. Yesterday was the day! He was SO happy he could hardly keep from giggly the entire time he was telling me about the bug. First, he was screaming for me to open the backdoor. I panicked...ran....opened... FREAKED! It was this huge praying mantis! (this picture does NOT do it justice!)
He wanted to keep it! Here it is in the jar, after about 10 seconds, I think it died. I told Maddux the bug needed to go back to "work". Maddux threw it back into the garden.

LOVE the mantis. They must be out in full force, we have them, too. Although I'm glad to say Luke is a little afraid of them (phew). Swayzee is a little chunker! What a great picture - Maddux is an awesome big brother! P.S. Arby's has free beef n cheddars when you buy a drink. TODAY ONLY!!
I love watching Maddux grow because it gives me an idea of what I have to look forward to!!! Love the cute pictues of them together!
