Here's the info about this race. 5 people to a team and fun costumes!
It looks so easy. I mean, a few little obstacles here, a puddle of mud, there.

BTW...There was a snow-making machine (the kind they use to make snow on the ski slopes) before the hay bales blasting freezing cold snow in our faces. The hay bales were HUGE, and there were a TON of them! The tubes were easy, I think there were only 2 of them. The walls were next. Easy Breezy?! There were a ton of those, too! They would have been except for the HUGE, SLOPPY mud that surround them. I could barely get over them due to the 20 pounds of extra ,mud pulling me down. Did I mention there was horse crap IN the mud..which was on my hands...which I would soon be covered in!
I thought we were about done, until I saw the secret obstacle.....It was a 2 mile run through ...the ....Deer Creek ...SWAMP. I felt like I was on survivor!! There were snake warnings, muddy streams to run through, and don't forget the moss infested STENCH!
The trail was called "Roller Coaster" and it was! Huge hills, then another, then ANOTHER! Just when I thought I seriously wanted to throw up, we had to run up one more huge hill. We turned the corner, the trail was lined with people (who shot me in the face with a water gun, BTW!) and headed up to the 5-person Slip n Slide. Our amazing team ran and dove head-first onto the slide, getting burned by dirt particles the whole way. (I'm seriously smiling so HUGE while I write this!) Last was a 20 ft "pig sty" AKA 3 feet of mud and water that each team crawls through (because there are rows of flags to go under, of course!) to the finish line!

AFTER: TONS of PICS! and a shower!
Here we are in line for the FREEZING cold showers. For some reason a few guys thought it was OK to run in their bikini underwear...then shower with them on....then stay in them...and nothing else..GASP!!
Seeing their junk for sooo long was seriously the worst part.

This was taken AFTER the shower where I squirted them of for 5 minutes!Hooray for my awesome team! They are all amazing, and I can't wait to do it again!!

That sounds like the funnest race! I could consider one like that...beats running down the pavement (boring)! Glad you had fun and finished!!

WOO WOO!!!!! LOVE THE DIRTY DASH AND CAN'T WAIT TO DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!! Even with the horse poop smelling hair!
